| F.C.G.D. stands for Franklin County Ghost Debunkers. We are not proffessional ghost investigators, but rather ghost investigation is our hobby. We seek out areas and structures with a reported history of paranormal activity and look for proof of that activity. We don't currently use any advanced equipment, just various recording devices and our senses. Whether we record any hard evidence of the supernatual or not, we will keep this website as an archive of what we have recorded and experienced. As a group, we investigate from a skeptical point of view. We believe a claim of paranormal phenomenon can not be justified simply on the grounds that no obvious explanation currently exists. Our goal is to look for rational, natural, or plausible explantations for an alleged paranormal phenomenon. We do not discount the possibility of the supernatural nor do we expect never to find evidence of supernatural phenomenon. We, the members of F.C.G.D., take on paranormal investigations to satisfy our scientific and personal curiousities. We make it our aim to judge evidence harshly and scrutinize stories, while never forcing our ideas onto others. We believe both ghost hunters and debunkers can contribute much to the field and can learn from each other. We find it necessary to do actual field investigation along with philosophical exercise. Being put inside the target is what we find enjoyable, not the debunking of the target. What we really enjoy is scaring ourselves the best. |
